Nestled within a sensitive high-altitude forest and adjacent archaeological zone, this storage facility for the 'Aqua Santa Maria' water source is conceived as an ephemeral insertion designed to virtually 'disappear' into its natural context. To minimize physical impact on the historically significant terrain, the design utilizes a demountable steel framework resting on low-impact footings, clad in a rhythmic wood panel facade that mimics the vertical textures of the surrounding woodland. A comprehensive green roof facilitates natural insulation and total visual integration from above. Addressing its crucial location along established forest tourist trails, a strategic pedestrian bridge connects the route directly to the green roof, transforming the utility building into a public panoramic sightseeing terrace that offers dramatic vistas of the valley and the water source below.
